hey!

Uptill now my only use of ajax was with the following function:

Code:

function FetchPage(PageSrc,Title,LngAddrs)
{
 // PageSrc is the page to load...
 // LngAddrs determines weather to append the sid with a ? or a & ...

 var str;
 PS=PageSrc

 document.getElementById(ETC).innerHTML="Please wait, loading...";

 xmlHttp=GetXmlHttpObject();
 if (xmlHttp==null)
 {
 alert ("Browser does not support HTTP Request");
 return;
 }

 var url=PageSrc;
 num=Math.random();
 if (LngAddrs)
 {
  url=url+"&sid="+num;
 }
 else
 {
  url=url+"?sid="+num;
 }
 xmlHttp.onreadystatechange=stateChanged; // SPAN WILL UPDATE
 //CONTENT IN HERE...
 xmlHttp.open("GET",url,true);
 xmlHttp.send(null);
 document.getElementById('PageHeadline').innerHTML=Title;
}

this is set by a get method (as you can see), having the pattern "filename.asp?getvar=aaa&sid=rndnum".

I have 2 questions:
1) Is there any security issue having this way of working with forms containing passwords or such?
"CheckLogin.asp?user=frezi&pass=secretpass&sid=rndnum"
The address itself is not shown by the browser, so I can't see why at all should I move to the POST method.
2) How do I change the method to post?

Here's a little tutorial on Ajax Post request -

I'd say there's definitely an issue if you're passing some passwords, that are normally hidden to the public, but most don't use ajax in that way.
