I am a PHP / MySQL dev, and have been playing with AJAX a bit recently.
Anyways I am looking to write a script that will do 2 things:
1) query a table in a database, and display any new rows in a div, and set this to refresh every say 10 seconds
2) loop through a list of data (for example email address's), and add it into the table that 1) is looking at
The result would be that once you set it going, you see the rows pop up in real time (almost) to when they were put in the db.
I have been trying to achieve this, but for some reason it wont display ANYTHING in the 'progress' div, until the second script has finished inserting every single row
Can anyone tell me if what I am trying to do is possible, and then if it is what is the likely cause of my issue? Cheers in advance!
